ALA as opened me to greater commitment, courage and a thirst for feedback. Because of ALA, I am always seeking to improve in an honest way.”
We know that true fulfillment can only be found in being of service to others.
That’s why ALA students are dedicated to making a difference not only in their own lives but also in the world at large.
Since ALA opened its doors in 2016, more than 53 teams have passionately selected an organization to support through their collective efforts and shared commitment to service.
Each leadership team of 20-60 participants selects a non-profit and embarks upon a lightning fast mission to…
“Freedom Dogs is a non-profit organization based in Oceanside, California that trains specialty service dogs to provide assistance for a brief period of time or for permanent placement for Service Members recovering from PTSD, TBI, and/or other physical limitations. The estimated cost for one dog over a two-year training period is $50,000.
We were so grateful and definitely blessed to be a recipient of Ascension Leadership Academy’s outstanding generosity, which provided the funds to train and support two puppies who have been placed with their “Forever Service Member.” ALA continues to demonstrate what is possible when the mission and passion are so powerful while providing such valuable assistance to non-profits as they strive to improve their communities.”
“I’ve never met a more genuine and impactful group of individuals. What the Ascension Leadership Academy has created for us in the past month is the type of awareness and exposure that creates a positive, lasting impact! To witness it has been nothing short of incredible. We are so honored and so thankful!”
“We are so grateful to Ascension Leadership Academy for bringing just extraordinary results to such a life-changing cause, in giving others a second chance to live a fuller life. The classes of ALA are powerful leaders dedicated to making a huge impact in the world and in their lives. We are genuinely stunned by what they accomplished in only 26 days.”
“The Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank would like to thank Ascension Leadership Academy for supporting our Food 4 Kids Backpack Program. Their generous donation of $103,376 had great impact. We were able to provide nutritious food to 515 chronically hungry children for one school year. Each of the children received a kid-friendly bag of food to take home over the weekend when school meals are not available. Thanks to caring supporters like ALA, the Food Bank is able to feed over 500,000 people throughout the county, per month.”

“ALA was the first time I ever experienced unconditional love which allowed me to feel safe enough to tell my story and face my pain in a way that led to the emotional freedom I was searching for. Thank you to my ALA family.”
Because I had the courage to step through those doors and take a real hard look at my life and work on myself, I was able to not only graduate the program, I thrived! And I found an incredibly supportive community.”
I had lost that 20+ years ago, but didn't know it. I was chasing a legacy rather than living the moment. ALA opened my heart to the possibilities & to set my intention to live MY life rather than someone else's.”
I now realize that I can be anything, empower anyone, and have unreasonable courage to take a stand for anything I see possible as well as standing for our colleagues and customers during challenging times.”
There were more great takeaways than I could possibly list here, but one of the most powerful was that we should never judge others, because we have no idea what shaped them until we’ve taken the time to really listen and connect with them. Once we do, it’s almost impossible not to see them in an entirely new, much more empathetic light. ALA was--by a wide margin-- the most impactful leadership program I’ve ever taken part in.”
